How did you get started teaching?
I booked my first professional job at 11. As I got older, I became the one to go to for performance advice. In high school, I started coaching and helping friends and neighbors prepare for auditions and performances. I loved helping people and very quickly, this passion turned into a calling for me to share my 30 plus years of training and experience. Now, I am helping people audition for Broadway shows, book their dream VO roles, and grow their Film and TV careers!
What types of students have you had?
In my experience thus far, I've worked with all ages and levels, children as young as 3 and adults as old as 80. It's never too early or late to start a love affair with the arts!
What should I prepare for my first lesson?
Come in prepared to talk about yourself and your experience. I want to know your goals and your interests. Be prepared to discuss your strengths and weaknesses. And maybe, if you want, bring in a piece to work on. Whether it's an old favorite or something new, we can master it together!
